This policy describes what personal data Tag Janitor processes. It is written to match what the app actually does rather than to cover every hypothetical — and what the app actually does is unusually little.

Full provider identification is on the imprint. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to under Art. 37 GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; ours is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Ansbach, Germany.

The short version

Tag Janitor has no backend, no server of ours, no account and no signup. It is HTML and JavaScript running inside the Zendesk App Framework in your browser. Every request goes through Zendesk's own framework client to your own Zendesk instance. The app never sees your credentials, and no helpdesk data is transmitted to us or to any third party.

What the app reads, and why

Inside your Zendesk instance, and only there, the app reads: tickets and their tags, triggers, automations, macros, views, SLA policies, ticket fields and organizations. All of it serves one purpose — telling you where a tag is still referenced before you rename, merge or delete it. Legal basis for this processing, which happens entirely under your control inside your Zendesk account, is your own use of the app (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to the extent we are involved at all).

What is stored, and where

Scan results are cached in your browser's local storage so the app does not need to rescan on every visit. That cache stays on your machine, inside your browser profile, and you can clear it at any time via your browser or by rescanning. Nothing is stored on our side — we have no side to store it on.

What we collect about you

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no tracking, no cookies of ours and no telemetry. This website is a static page; our hosting provider (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany) processes IP addresses in server logs for operation and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), which are deleted on rotation.

If you email us

If you contact us for support, we process your email address and what you write in order to answer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep support correspondence no longer than needed and delete it on request.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under Arts. 15–21 GDPR. Since we hold no data about app users beyond any support emails you send us, exercising them is usually a very short conversation: info@productivity-boost.com.
